Sneh Project
Speech has power, the power to transform what starts out as a sound and ends in a deed. This project is an Oratory Club in collaboration with Sneh School, Pimpri-Chinchwad. It started off as an initiative to empower young minds and help them reveal their thoughts and ideas in a more compelling manner. At the same time it teaches kids the importance of standing up for themselves, believing in their ideas, and cautious listening. These bi-monthly debates serve as a platform where young minds are felt seen and heard. Additionally they encourage kids to improve and learn several values as well as life skills, like how to deal with wins and losses, building self confidence, public speaking, etc.
Food Donation Drive
The world produces enough food to feed all of its 8 billion people, yet 1 in every 11 people (733 million people) go hungry every day! Our food donation drives contribute to the mitigation of world hunger, and the reduction of waste. The food drives are primarily carried out in two phases. Phase one involves collecting leftover/excess food from restaurants and social gatherings/events. Whereas, phase two deals with packaging and distributing these food packages to those in need. It is a simple gesture, with a significant impact. You can also show your support by reaching out to us, with contacts of restaurant owners or caterers that may be interested in collaborating with us to accomplish this mission.
Fundraisers
Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a tangible and lasting impact towards improving lives. We truly believe that, alone, one can do so little, but together we can do so much. Thus some of the fundraising events that we have previously organized are -
1. Bake Sales: Who doesn’t love a sweet treat? Now you have an excuse to have a treat without feeling guilty for it, as all the profit made through the sale goes to charity.
2. Football Tournament: Sports bring people together, and make you realize the power of teamwork. Participation not only serves as inspiration to other volunteers, but it ignites passion and enthusiasm. It also supports our (Konnekt’s) passion, further allowing us to garner necessary resources.
3. Open Mics: Open mics provide a platform for one to express their thoughts, ideas and creations all while inviting collaborations. They serve as an amazing opportunity to harvest connections and raise funds for a good cause.
Additionally, you can directly sponsor specific programs or initiatives of your choice, ensuring that your contribution leaves a meaningful mark. Your generosity will help bring hope and opportunities to those who need it the most.
Maja Ghar
This event is a special initiative aimed at bringing the community together by celebrating and honouring our senior citizens. It creates a space where they feel valued and connected to society, nurturing a sense of belonging. Through festive gatherings, such as Diwali celebrations, we spread happiness and warmth, ensuring that our elders experience the joy and togetherness that the season brings. We encourage simple little activities like painting, singing, dancing, etc., that keeps them engaged, helps them rejuvenate, and provides them with a platform to explore and express their creativity. This event is a heartfelt reminder that every individual deserves to be cherished and included, especially during the times that matter most.
